#PUBLIC ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

At the edge of the pool

It is a pool and a leisure center which is open to the public.

In Kristiansand, Norway, the "Aquarama Pool and Leisure Centre" was opened in March 2013. The Aquarama comprises a public swimming pool, a wellness centre and a diving facility designed for synchronous dives from a height of 10 metres. The consulting firm Asplan Viak, which specialises in technical swimming pool and construction issues, is responsible for the Aquarama.

Tiles as building materials in pools are simply unbeatable as they are user-friendly as well as being robust and contribute towards maintaining key hygienic standards. They are very durable and absolutely moisture-proof.

The use of slip-resistant tiles in the right places is also a key safety factor. But architectural ceramics also ensure that guests are offered added value. Asplan Viak opted for tiles from Agrob Buchtal in order to create an aesthetic and elegant impression.
