#RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

PROTOHAUS

Is it possible to fit an entire home, social critique and the timeless question “what is art?” into a 125 square foot mobile dwelling?

ProtoHaus says, “Yes.” Not only does the space fit a bed, kitchen and bathroom into a space that is smaller than the size of the average living room, but it looks good doing it. Designed by an artist and engineer couple, the transportable structure is off the grid and self-sufficient, thanks to a solar and wind system. As if you weren’t already sourcing the plans, ProtoHaus was constructed mainly of recycled and reclaimed materials. Sustainability, functionality and aesthetics just go well together.
