Building on the top of rooftops is becoming fairly common on our over-crowded planet, but have you ever seen a home that has 3 box rooms, 3 trees and a meadow on its roof? Roger Christ was commissioned by a family of four to expand a German bungalow originally built in the 1960s, but he had to go vertical instead of horizontal because of space restrictions.
In response to these challenges, he planted 3 glass boxes connected by a highly glazed, transparent corridor on a cantilevered roof, and surrounded them with a courtyard, a mini-meadow, and trees!
